Reasons for Choosing Vegetarianism and Veganism among Šeduva Gymnasium (LITHUANIA) Senior Students
One school leaver wrote a maturity work proving that vegetarianism and veganism are not only special diets, they are also lifestyles, which have certain rules of their own, like not eating meat and doing as much as possible to save our planet helping to reduce greenhouse gasses, which really cause problems to our planet and yearly lower the survival rate and restore natural cycles that have been ruined by humanity. Also, plant-based diets are more eco-friendly because plants grow much faster than animals and they are easier to maintain, so this kind of nutrition could really save people from starvation and poverty. Also, it is essential to talk about environmental and economical problems to the young generation because they will have to solve these problems in the future.

So the students walked around the place where they live and picked trash. They found that almost all packages were made of plastic and some of glass. They studied and found out that plastic packages decay is terribly slow from 200 to 500 years and it is dangerous for animals and plants.
